Renaissance Starts in Iranian Airlines
Iran’s Exchange Reserve Account (ERA) had agreed in July to charge Bank-e-Tejarat to fund the deal, valued at $14.1 million. Meanwhile, it made Bank-e-Refah to pay $12.2 million for two more Fokker planes.
In addition, a 15% deposit to buy 3 Falcon-50 aircraft is to be paid by IAA while ERA would pay the remainder.
“The deal has a total value of $35million,” the informed source added.
Two Fokkers have already been delivered to Iran as talks are going on to finalize the Falcon contract.
Other Iranian airlines including Homa, Iran Air Tour, and all private airline companies are at the same time negotiating to add more new planes to the country’s air transport system.
